I bought a regular tank top at XXI for $3. The one I chose does not have a shelf bra, but I’m sure one with one built in will work just as well. Whatever your preference.
Disconnect (or cut) the strap from the back of the tank on both sides.
Then cut the strap shorter. be careful and don’t cut it too short.
You can always trim the excess after you sew it!
Now you need to loop the strap to the back of the tank and sew it into place. You can use a sewing machine, but I’m just too lazy to get it out and hook it up for so little a job.
Now all you have to do is loop the tank over your bra strap and you’re set to go.
To breastfeed, all you have to do is undo your bra and your tank comes off with the bra. I love this tank, because I wear it underneath my regular shirt as an undershirt. It hides my belly as I lift up my shirt to feed.
